Fabrication Workflow
10-Step Fabrication Process
Every project follows this structured workflow -- from drawing review to final delivery -- ensuring consistent quality and schedule control.
Drawing Review & Technical Confirmation
Pre-ProductionOur engineering team reviews your structural drawings, checks for completeness, identifies ambiguities, and submits RFIs if clarification is required. Material grades, weld symbols, tolerances, and applicable standards are confirmed before production planning begins.
Production Planning & Scheduling
Pre-ProductionA detailed production plan is developed based on your delivery schedule. Work packages are broken down by structure type, material batch, and assembly sequence. Production milestones are set and shared with the customer.
Material Procurement & Incoming Inspection
MaterialSteel is procured from certified mills according to specified grades (e.g. Q355, ASTM A36, EN S355). Mill test certificates (MTCs) are verified. Incoming materials are inspected for dimensions, surface condition, and heat number traceability.
CNC Cutting & Marking
FabricationPlates and sections are cut using laser cutting machines and CNC plasma/flame cutting equipment. Each piece is marked with part numbers, heat numbers, and drawing references for full traceability throughout the production process.
Drilling, Punching & Edge Preparation
FabricationBolt holes are drilled to specified tolerances. Weld joint edges are prepared by grinding, beveling, or machining as required by the welding procedure specification (WPS). Dimensional checks are performed at this stage.
Assembly & Fit-Up
FabricationComponents are assembled on jigs and fixtures to maintain dimensional accuracy. Fit-up is checked against drawings before welding begins. Tack welding is performed by qualified welders according to the approved WPS.
Welding
FabricationWelding is performed by certified welders using qualified welding procedures. Automated welding systems are used where applicable for consistent quality. Weld parameters, sequence, and interpass temperatures are controlled and recorded.
Dimensional Inspection & NDT
InspectionCompleted assemblies are dimensionally inspected against drawing tolerances. Non-destructive testing (NDT) including ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), or radiographic testing (RT) is performed per the ITP and applicable standards.
Surface Treatment & Coating
FinishingStructures are shot blasted to SA 2.5 standard. Primer and topcoats are applied according to the specified coating system. Film thickness is measured and recorded. Hot-dip galvanizing is available as an alternative where specified.
Final Inspection, Documentation & Shipping
DeliveryA final inspection is conducted -- including dimensional check, coating inspection, and documentation review. Quality records including MTCs, weld records, NDT reports, and inspection certificates are compiled and issued. Structures are packed and shipped per agreed incoterms.
Quality Assurance
Quality Control Throughout
the Fabrication Process
Quality is integrated at every stage of production -- not just final inspection. Our QC system meets the requirements of international EPC contractors and third-party inspection agencies.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from EPC contractors and industrial project teams about our fabrication services, capabilities, and processes.
Do you provide structural design services?
No. Our core service is fabrication based on customer-provided drawings. We do not offer structural design as a primary service. However, we can provide shop drawing preparation (fabrication drawings) based on your approved structural drawings, and can flag potential fabrication issues during the drawing review stage.
What drawing formats do you accept?
We accept structural drawings in PDF, DWG, DXF, and STEP/IGES formats. Drawings should include general arrangement (GA), detail drawings, connection details, and a bill of materials (BOM). The drawings must be approved by your engineering team before production begins.
Which fabrication standards can you work to?
We are experienced with EN 1090 (EXC2 and EXC3), AISC 360, AWS D1.1, GB 50017, and GB 50205. If your project specifies a different standard, please share it during the inquiry stage and we will confirm applicability.
What is your minimum and maximum order size?
We can accommodate projects from approximately 50 tons upward. Our facility is optimized for medium to large-scale projects in the range of 500-5,000 tons per order. For very small quantities, lead times and unit costs may be less competitive.
Can you support third-party inspection?
Yes. We regularly work with customer-appointed third-party inspectors and international inspection agencies. We agree on an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) at project start and respect all hold and witness points. Our facility is open to inspector access throughout the production process.
What surface treatment options are available?
Standard surface treatment is shot blasting to SA 2.5 followed by primer and topcoat application per your specified coating system. Hot-dip galvanizing is also available. We can apply epoxy, polyurethane, and other industrial coating systems as specified.
What is a typical lead time for fabrication?
Lead time depends on project complexity and tonnage. For a typical project of 500-1,000 tons, fabrication lead time is approximately 8-14 weeks after drawing confirmation and material procurement. We provide a detailed production schedule at the quotation stage.
Do you handle shipping and export?
Yes. We can arrange export packing, marking, and shipping under FOB, CFR, or CIF terms. We have experience exporting to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe. All export documentation including packing lists, material certificates, and inspection reports are provided.
